Sometimes it starts with a reference, sometimes with a feeling, or sometimes with just a simple idea. All of Barb's paintings are unique to themselves, which is part of what she loves about the unpredictable nature of watercolors. Each piece begins with a blank sheet of watercolor paper, whether it be big or small, and then becomes something entirely new.
